Is Las Vegas much more then Casinos & Strip Clubs... Read On?

I am expected to move to the Las Vegas metro area by end March - likely the Paradise/Henderson area. I appreciate if some native or knowledgeable persons can best prepare me for relocation.

I want to move to an area that is not too much congested with CASINO GAMBLING and STRIP CLUBS / but has much SHOPS %26amp; RESTAURANTS / and RELATIVE LOW CRIME - basically a clean fun night life or things to do area - Henderson I understand Yes, Spring Valley? part of Paradise?

Please advise?

Also please tell me in regarding exclusively the Downtown Vegas area:

1/ About how many square miles is it considered, and it's borders- city-data.com indicates roughly 10 sq mi, maps indicate at least 25-30 sq mi?

2/ ABOUT WHAT PERCENT(%) OF THE BUSINESSES ARE GAMBLING OR STRIP CLUB RELATED

Thanks to all who answered!!!Is Las Vegas much more then Casinos %26amp; Strip Clubs... Read On?
You are going to find gambling all over Vegas at different levels. Most 7/11 have a slots area as do most of the grocery stores. There are large casinos all over the valley and thousands of small casino/restaurants/bars. Believe me you won't even notice them as time goes on. You just learn to accept them and they don't bother you. I live in Paradise and the closest large casino is South Point. Strip clubs are mainly near the strip and downtown. Normally not a factor for living here.

You will find residential areas are loaded with grocery stores, restaurants and stores of all kinds. You will have crime no matter where you live but the areas you mentioned are lower in crime than others. You will be surprised how normal living here is. You will find that you will avoid the strip at all costs as that is for tourists and you don't need that. If you choose to gamble you will find casinos that cater to locals all over the valley. Hard to beat their restaurants and buffets with their prices. Life is pretty normal here believe it or not.Is Las Vegas much more then Casinos %26amp; Strip Clubs... Read On?
Nearly the entire Las Vegas strip is in Paradise.

The City of Las Vegas is north of Sahara Ave. Strip resorts have Las Vegas postal addresses but they are not in the city of Las Vegas.

Henderson is a good area, so is Summerlin. If you move to Paradise you're most likely going to be near casinos and strip clubs but maybe not. You'll need to know the exact address.
